About the Show

The performance is a showcase featuring approximately 6 different pieces performed by CATA artists with disabilities in different art forms, including modern dance, tap, theater, juggling, and singing.

Run Time

The performance runs for approximately 75 minutes with no intermission. The show is comprised of a showcase of individual performances, each about 8-10 minutes long. The performance at the Gala is followed by a seated buffet dinner. The Matinee performance is followed by an informal “Meet the Artists” reception in the theater lobby.

Tickets for CATA’s 2023 Annual Performance are available through the Shakespeare & Company box office at Shakespeare.org or call 413-637-3353.

Dress Code

Gala performance: “Berkshire chic”

Matinee performance: casual attire (come as you are!)

 

The Tina Packer Playhouse is a temperature controlled space. If you get chilly please speak to the house manager; blankets are available.

Late Seating

We make every effort to start our performances on time. If you are late, an usher will seat you at an appropriate time, but seating may be limited.

Food & Drink Policy

We ask that you only bring bottled water into the theater.

It’s Okay to Stay / Leave

CATA strives to provide a receptive, welcoming environment for all. If you or someone in your group has a tendency to vocalize, please feel comfortable staying in the audience and enjoying the show. If you’d like to be seated at the back near the exit–in case you do need to leave–please let us know in advance.

Accessibility

The Tina Packer Playhouse is accessible. Please notify CATA’s Accessibility Coordinator, Jeff Gagnon, prior to your arrival so that we may assist you during your visit, or if you have any questions.

Parking

Wheelchair accessible spaces are located in the parking lot in front of the Tina Packer Playhouse.

Entrance

There is an accessible pathway to access the theater to the right of the Tina Packer Playhouse, just right of the large sculpture.

ASL Interpretation

ASL interpretation is provided for both performances.

Assisted Listening Devices

ALD’s are available upon entering the theater. For assistance please speak with an usher.

Large Print Programs

The performance running order will be available in a large print format.

Toilets

Both rests rooms in the theater are accessible.

Seating

Both performances are general seating. Please arrive early for seats close to doors. Accessible seating is available; please call to reserve accessible seats.
