A new CATA artist working in the A.R.T. method, Marion Weed has already developed a powerful body of work. Her textural paintings consist of concentrated layers of brushwork, electric in energy, creating depth and mystery. Though these paintings are abstract in nature, Weed also creates more figurative paintings and drawings outside of the A.R.T. method. In addition to this show, Marion’s work has been featured in CATA exhibits at Hudson Hall at the Historic Hudson Opera House.
