ABOUT THE CATA WRITERS’ WORKSHOP:

The CATA Writers’ Workshop is one of over 3,000 arts workshops CATA brings to people with disabilities across Berkshire County, MA and Columbia County, NY.

In the CATA Writers’ Workshop, CATA artists express their unique perspectives through short stories, autobiography, poetry, and more. Each week, CATA faculty artist Janet Reich Elsbach shares innovative and adaptive writing prompts—serving as a jumping off point for CATA artists to discover new storytelling techniques and give voice to their ideas and lived experience. CATA writers also work with volunteer scribes to help put their ideas on paper.
