I AM A PART OF ART: CATA ANNUAL Art SHOW

CATA artist Laurie Sunderland’s flair for portrait painting is on full display in her stunning portrait here, top right. A longtime CATA artist, Laurie illustrates the personality of her subjects with expressive detail, employing vivid brushstrokes and bold color choices in each of her works. (See Group 7 for another portrait by Laurie Sunderland).

Complementing Laurie’s painting are three diverse works by artists Peter Kan, Tina Dacosta, and Patty M. In Peter’s Clifford the Dog, the viewer sees the iconic canine from behind as he looks into the distance for a new adventure. Tina’s soft and mysterious pastel painting draws on a similar color palette, as though seeing Clifford through a kaleidoscope. Patty’s Sunset with clouds rounds out the grouping with a stormy, red and orange hued skyline.
