Make a Gift in Your Will
“Giving to CATA through our will shows what’s important to us. And it strengthens our values. Now those values are part of our legacy.”
When you name CATA as a beneficiary in your will, living trust, or insurance policy, you leave a legacy that provides life-changing opportunities for your neighbors with disabilities— today and into the future. Join the CATA Legacy Society and be part of an amazing group of people who have chosen to sustain CATA’s work into the future.
How A Bequest Works
A bequest is one of the easiest legacy gifts you can make. You may include language in your will specifying a gift be made to Community Access to the Arts as part of your estate plan.
A bequest is generally a revocable gift, which means it can be changed or modified at any time. You can choose to designate that a bequest is used for a general or specific purpose, giving you the peace of mind knowing your gift will be used as intended. Bequests are exempt from federal estate taxes.
Benefits of a bequest
- Receive an estate tax charitable deduction.
- Reduce the burden of taxes on your family.
- Leave a lasting legacy that makes a difference in the lives of people with disabilities for years to come.

“We’re leaving a legacy of kindness by supporting CATA in our wills”
“We’re making a statement that these are our values: kindness, inclusion, and the celebration of ability. Having seen the impact of our support at CATA first-hand, the decision to make a gift in our will was an easy one. It shows what’s important to us— and it strengthens our values. Now, those values are part of our legacy.”
