BACK TO ABOUT CATA PROGRAMS

“CATA is the highlight of my students’ week! Each workshop is a breath of fresh air that allows them to build skills and experience meaningful, real-life connections.”

CATA provides dynamic arts workshops to elementary, middle, and high school students in special education and alternative learning programs across nine school districts. Through weekly programs in dance, music, juggling, yoga, painting, acting, and more, students tap into their talents and build important skills. Some students with disabilities do not participate in mainstream arts classes or extracurricular creative opportunities. CATA steps in to fill that gap.

In many cases, CATA provides additional support as students transition out of high school. We work with special education teachers on I.E.P.’s (Individual Education Plans) and offer continued access to CATA workshops after graduation.
