We’re Here for You — A message from CATA to our community

These are challenging times for our community—particularly, for people with disabilities, who may be especially vulnerable or separated from family and loved ones.

Since this crisis began, CATA has been in close contact with our program partners—residences, schools and agencies serving people with disabilities across our community. We’re inspired by how heroically our partners are working to keep CATA artists safe.

To all of our CATA artists, families and caregivers, and to our program partners— we are here for you.

We know that CATA is a lifeline to connection and self-expression. We know you need that connection now more than ever. So we’re launching CATA programs online in music, theater, writing, dance, and painting, to reach people with disabilities wherever they are.

We recognize the difficult financial situation many of our partners and artists are in, so wherever needed, we’re providing these programs free of charge.

To our donors and community: we ask for your help. If you are able to make a gift, there is no more important time than now. Thank you for your support—for showing our artists and our partners how much you care.

From our families to yours, please be safe, and please continue to practice social distancing. It’s our strength as a community—our ability to care for each other— that will sustain us through this difficult time.
