Community Access to the Arts (CATA) has been selected as an awardee of MacKenzie Scott’s Yield Giving Open Call, in which community-led, community-focused nonprofit organizations from across the United States and U.S. Territories were invited to apply for a $1 million grant and share the impact they have had on their communities. Out of the more than 6,300 that applied, CATA was among only 250 organizations nationwide to receive the award. CATA is the only organization in the Berkshires to receive the Yield Giving award, and one of only 18 organizations in Massachusetts.

According to a press release from CATA, because the organization was among the highest-scoring applicants, the panel evaluating applicants doubled their award, for a grant of $2 million. CATA plans to use this award to launch its CATA FOR ALL Capital Campaign.
