W.E.B. Du Bois Middle School sixth graders visit with Community Access to the Arts artists with disabilities and learn about their work, what influences their art, and how art allows them to express themselves at CATA’s “I Am a Part of Art” exhibit at The Clark’s Lunder Center in Williamstown on Thursday.
The students spent the day at the museum, touring both the main galleries and CATA’s exhibit, which is now closed to the public, as well as participating in an art activity led by CATA’s artists.
As part of their curriculum, Du Bois students spend time with CATA artists throughout the year in a variety of specialties as they learn about “overcoming adversity.”
