Mike Blaisdell created his stunning, abstract painting A Windy Spring Day using an adaptive technique called “Artistic Realization Technologies” (or A.R.T.). This method allows artists with significant physical disabilities—who may not be able to hold or manipulate a paintbrush—to control the entire creative process. Using a laser pointer and working closely with a trained assistant, Mike was able to bring his creative vision to life (click the video below to see A.R.T. in action).
The other two paintings in this grouping connect the white and black elements in Mike’s work to create a larger, dynamic composition within different mediums.
