ABOUT THESE PAINTINGS:

The large, collaborative painting in this section was created by a group of CATA artists using a paint pouring technique. Amidst the swell of movement in the work, you’ll notice moments of bright, individual colors that pop through the layers of paint. Looking at this painting, you can tell that many hands were involved in its creation—and you can sense the energy of the artists at work.

The three vibrant relief prints each connect and complement the larger painting through pattern, color, and movement—almost like early blueprints for the painting’s final design.
