Description:

John has been a CATA artist for over 6 years, though incorporating the use of the A.R.T. technique in his painting is a newer tool for him. In addition to being a visual artist, John is a gifted writer, participating in CATA’s weekly Writer’s Workshop. In 2019, John’s writing was featured at CATA’s Annual Poetry Reading at The Mount, Edith Wharton’s Home. His visual art has been exhibited in CATA shows at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, and Lauren Clark Fine Arts.

John Chapdelaine’s Achoo! was inspired by Jackson Pollack. John painted this by dripping pigment from squeeze bottles onto his canvas on the floor while seated in his chair. My job was to turn the canvas when directed, and to pass the paint to the artist.” – Pat Hogan (CATA faculty)
