Description:

Jon Clark has been a CATA artist for 5 years, exhibiting his work in shows at Gallery 35 in Great Barrington, MA and the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts in Pittsfield, MA. Not only is Clark a visual artist, but he is also a talented drummer. Using the A.R.T. technique in his paintings is a recent venture for Clark, allowing him to work in an entirely new way and explore new creative possibilities in his paintings.

Day is Eleven is so right! Jon finished this beauty on February 11. The underpainting, created by Jon using a laser pointer to direct me in moving the paint brush, is loose and juicy. When the background was dry, Jon created the geometric shapes and “spoon toss” to float over it. Great movement and dimension!” – Pat Hogan (CATA faculty)
