I AM A PART OF ART: CATA ANNUAL Art SHOW

(3/11) CLARK GROUP 3

Gallery wall with five paintings

ABOUT THESE PAINTINGS:

Sarah Wiles’ colorful and whimsical painting of fruits and vegetables brings to mind an historical botanical illustration, but brighter and infused with Sarah’s personality. Paired with Natasha Lorick’s fruit still life below, you really get a sense of each artist’s style, color sense, and approach to composition.

The vibrant, graphic paintings by Dan Kenyon and Richard Lopardo practically leap off the canvas with their bold colors and expressive use of paint and pen markings. In each piece, the motifs vibrate with electric energy, almost like dance steps or a graphic illustration of a big band tune springing to life on paper. Jenna Thomas’s delicate geometric painting is a perfect complement, distilling the imagery above into an elegant pattern.
