I AM A PART OF ART: CATA ANNUAL Art SHOW

(9/11) CLARK GROUP 9

Gallery wall with five abstract paintings

ABOUT THESE PAINTINGS:

Each artist in this grouping took a unique and expressive approach to mark making, exploring the movement of lines and brush strokes.

For her piece, Janet Sebastino painted an environment of vertical, wavy lines surrounding a small portrait of a person in the top right corner, creating a sense of depth and vibrating activity. In their abstract paintings, Aaron Wray, Brent Mille, and JoAnne Potash experimented with overlapping lines of watercolor, creating vibrant motifs that simmer with energy. Complementing these works is a delicate drawing of a summer flower bed by Ed Champagne, which is inspired by his love of gardening. Click the video below to hear Ed talk about his drawing!
