I AM A PART OF ART: CATA ANNUAL Art SHOW

Katrina Couture, a longtime CATA artist, created this stunning, abstract painting “Lady Liberty” using an adaptive technique called “Artistic Realization Technologies” (or A.R.T.). This method allows for artists with significant physical disabilities who may not be able to hold or manipulate a paintbrush to control the entire creative process. Using a laser pointer and working closely with a trained assistant, Katrina brings her creative vision to life. If you saw our 2021 virtual gala, you’ll recognize this piece, which was inspired by our program theme of “Artistic Liberties.” Click the videos below to see how Katrina created her work!

After this year’s Gala, we had lots of inquiries about Katrina Couture’s painting, Lady Liberty, which was created and featured in the Gala Film, Artistic Liberties. In response, CATA and Katrina have decided to hold a drawing for the sale of the work.
